Good good weeks followed by a BAD in the Digiworld!

The designers really outdid themselves during iNSD! Picked up some super bargains..and got some awesome freebies. Then, it was Mother's Day.. more sales.. more giveaways! I picked up some goodies as a Pixel Praiser @ Gotta Pixel.. BAM! A problem was trickling with with some of the digiscrap sites during iNSD. It came to a halt for them Monday and they just came back up yesterday. A few still missing. Thank goodness, GP got out..and with a 5 day outage, I am sure there will be others who follow. I am happy the sites are back and hope the server (now maintained by someone else) will be problem free.

JUST MY OPINION: There is talk that government should step in and regulate what goes on the net. Having seen images stolen and claimed by others or freely distributed (digital kits and original artist works), I am a big supporter of regulations. I am not afraid that Big Brother is going to be watching. It is to protect and keep companies accountable for their actions. I hope they can trace the original server and make him pay for the time these companies lost. The downside is that with the last adminstration, they will be looking at our online activity.. like emails. That, if necessary, could be added later. But I think the government has better things to do then read newsletters and ads that I get from the digidesigners, godiva chocolate and an occasional joke from friends. *filter guys .. filter*..steps off of soapbox

Yes, I'm still kicking.. after a little personal drama I'm getting back into my digital scrapping and tagging. I'm watching a not so hot DWTS competition and American Idol I gave up on once Lilly was voted off..so what to talk about? LOL.. well I will come back and think of something :).

I got an awesome one kit call, I love those one kit calls, they fit into my schedule and I've been away much too long in the digiscrapping world to be called "reliable" so this really works for me. But when I do it, I truly enjoy it..so I won't be giving it up (can't right now.. I still have my daughter's graduation pics and my Mother's Day pics to scrap.. LOL).

Coming to the End of the TV Season

We're nearing the end of the season for both Dancing with the Stars and American Idol. Adam continues to be my favorite, although he's getting screechy and I hope he goes back to his creative dreamlike renditions. Rock was the theme unfortunately and Kris and Danny really suffered, not because they were bad bit was just not their genre.

Dancing with the Stars just made me sad. I liked Lil Kim and thought she had a few more dances to go. Ty, although he is a nice guy, was just too stiff. To me, Lil Kim was the overall better dancer over Shawn, but I guess she goes and Shawn stays. Shawn just doesn't seem to have the free easy movements, I think it's her muscle.

Because I am watching Dancing with the Stars, I watch How I Met Your Mother on CBS.com the next day. That was a cute show, well put together the way that show really puts the strangest things together to make sense. To take the small scene of Ted and then eventual looking up at Stella was GREAT! Not mention the side plot of Marshall..and what was going on with Barney. It's interesting that the season finale of Barney and Robin getting together wasn't there, since there were rumors that there were scenes that Robin and Barney did together pre-maternity. They were either just rumors or the producers DID do that just to have an alternate ending...

Anyway, there is another rumor of HIMYM, that Stella isn't the Mother but she is going to introduce Ted to what will eventuall become the Mother. I don't think that Stella and Ted had that much chemistry. There are people who agree (and those who don't) that VICTORIA should come back and turn out to be the Mother..they had charisma..but she only had a few shows..and I for one was upset that she was written out..and didn't understand why. There was talk (I read up on those messageboards more then I admit to) that she was written only for a few shows because she had some morning show commitment. hmmmm .. and Bob Saget only comes on as a voiceover at the beginning and end.. sooooooooooo .. dunno :)

American Idol/DWTS

Note to American idol, :)...

Please stop with the two hour shows, you're killing your audience (well at least me) and I am losing interest. Cut it to an hour.

While I'm at it, I think ABC can cut their show to an hour and a half.

AND while I'm at it, I've heard rumors that the new video players, have spyware on them when you download them. Why even bother with the players.. I can play them if you
just put them on your websites. Catching your show another time so I can review or I missed it, good, spyware, bad. Even if it doesn't have spyware, I don't need another player, program etc. I watch shows on Hulu or the other individual stations..such as CBS and USA WITHOUT another program just fine and I don't mind their 4 15 second commercials.

Now for the summary :)

American Idol:
Denise was the wrong partner for Maks anyway, so they weren't going to win but I would've welcomed Holly's exit because she's a whining little **tch. I don't care if you got a late start..if you don't like learning the dances, don't go on the show, PERIOD. Anyway, it bought both Steve's some extra time, but I'd be surprised if they stayed on the show much longer.

Mark and Shawn
Cheryl and Gilles
Derek and Little Kim (I don't think they are
going to win, unless she refines it a little more)

I think Ty, the cowboy, is a good sport, but he won't be staying..that's a shame. I've heard Julianne's bf snap at her, so I don't like him..he's good looking..but he's the male version of Holly :). I guess he's getting better (but I don't care..lol). I think Lawrence Taylor is going to stick around for a bit just because he's a football legend, but every year I have struggles with Edyta's philosophy of :the less I wear, the more votes we get...and yes I am overweight..but I don't have a problem with Cheryl or any of the other dancers skimpy outfits (despite Cheryl's dreaded 5 LBs...give me a break). I'm glad to see David Grier work through his problems, but I don't know if this week was a fluke, I like his comedic style (although it's not coming across very well in the show), but I'd give him another chance.

AI: Seriously, I'm not a hard rocker type, but recently, I've been watching AI for the past few seasons and liking Chris Daughtry, last season it was David Cook (and yes I have his CD). I think it's because this show let's me see different types of singers and although I prefer top 40 popular hits, the rockers usually will put their own spin on things more then the other people. So that's my explanation why I like Adam..lol.. (I can't explain it any other way..so you'll just have to go with it). But Lil Rounds has a BIG career in front of her and Allison. Please don't vote for Megan (yes all of you guys who think she's pretty..all the tattoo loving people.. and those who are keeping track of vote for the worse). Michael and Scott won't be far behind her. I don't like Matt, probably it's his style but for Motown week, I can say the song fit his style better then some of his other interpretations. I give him credit FOR stepping out and putting in his own interpretation instead of singing it just as it was written.

Not sure why I loved Lil Rounds karaokeish singing (maybe because I love the song, I love the version..and she sang it BETTER then the original.. and I am partial to her because of her incredible voice..but I did like it and she should not get voted off. Danny is losing his appeal to me, but I keep checking around, and people just love the guy.. and his performance was karaoke (and did he go against Smokey Robinson's advice???). Since I'm badgering people, I know Smokey R, is a nice guy and he's there to promote Motown, but he was short on active critism, constructive or otherwise and those contestants were there to learn, not be told how good they are and I think he could've been a good teacher if he stepped into the role.

Dancing with the Stars INJURIES!!

First it was bad that before the show started, there were injuries (Jewel and Nancy O'Dell). Replaced by: Holly Madison and Melissa Rycroft. Holly is going to have a real hard time, IMHO, because she is dancing with a new Pro.. who doesn't know the preferences of the judges.

Now, (and they haven't been replaced yet), Steve-O, Steve Wozniak and Gilles Marini might be. Steve-O is complaining of a bad bac, Steve Wozniak is wearing a cast when not practicing and Gilles Marini has a separated shoulder. I'm not sure why this is happening. My guess would be that some of the stars are getting better. I mean there really wasn't a competition when Kristi Yamaguchi was on. Sabrina Bryan was voted off due to some freakish participation, but she had the "dance training" needed to withstand all this. It is my guess that all the athletes, in that respect have the edge. The *stars* that you see have the edge because of their fan base. I think that's why I enjoyed Brooke Burke. She was a little older then the average, not a big fan base and she wasn't an athlete. She got in because she was GOOD.

Since we're talking reality shows..

AMERICAN IDOL:

As far as personalities go, yes Anoop Desai and Danny Gokey have great personalities, but I like Adam Lambert, Lil Rounds and Alison Iraheta(probably Alison won't be going through as she is too shy to stick out). Especially Adam, has a stage presence whether you like his music or not, you just find him fun to watch.

American Idol and Dancing with the Stars

I really should have lots of layouts to show you.. but unfortunately, I'm a little rushed for time. Please visit my gallery (posted on the left) as it has everything except my ADSR layouts. ADSR was really fun and cool to find so many talented people.. and the GREAT prizes!!! They just finished so they haven't announced the Grand Prize winners yet.

American Idol has started..with a new format. I skipped out on the weird auditions and the usually mixed performances of Hollywood Week. Usually when they get on stage, the first few weeks are also a little rough, but ..this new format, I would miss seeing the good ones too since the are opting for the top 3..not cutting them one by one. In a way I like it...although one of the people I liked didn't make it.. but they have the wild card spot at the end.

I like: Danny Gokey, Alexis Grace and although he didn't make it, Anoop Desai. I also liked Michael Sarver because he is likeable..but he didn't do very well. Tatiana Del Toro seems to get on lots of people's nerves..but since I missed most of it.. lol... I dont know what to say. I can say, the clips of her singing.. says..she is good...but her performance that night..wasn't what I was hoping.

Maybe it's American Idol choosing to show..what they want you to see, but I can't understand why Nathaniel is on there. Yes, he seems like a sweet guy.. likeable? UM NO... he is more of a (well people liked him too) Danny Noriega or Josiah Leming..the pouty little whining weirdness. I felt sorry for Josiah at first and thought he had a pretty good voice, but then he started to do this combination.. it's all about ME thing and he kept crying. I didn't see Danny's charisma from the auditions.. so dunno.

I'm lukewarm excited about DWTS. I like the professionals..but the stars they are getting are getting less and less interesting to watch.. and they seem to think we want to see the stars.. getting younger and older (no more Cloris Leachman's please)

Happy New Year everyone!! Well, my hubby is in big trouble now.. he bought me David Cook's new CD..umm.. called David Cook (well, at least I won't forget what it's called..) AND Yummy Il Divo (and yes there's a little pictorial pamphlet)also self named Il Divo..OMG.. My two
favorite songs from Il Divo is *I think in Italian*.. version of Unchained Melody..not sure if it's a true translation..but the way they sing it, I don't care ;).. and "Everytime I Look at You". Not sure if this is true, but I heard that only the double CD/DVD version has that song..but I have it..so I'm happy :).

BUT seriously.. I love my hubby and my daughter (who gave me the great gift of chocolate and a gift certificate at TJ Maxx..when I get a chance to go to the store I will BUT (did you notice two BUT's in this sentence???.. my hubby was in the hospital.. on 12/29 to work on his thyroid..had half removed..no cancer when biopsied..so released.. on the 30.. GREAT, RIGHT? um.. no.. we got a call on New Year's Eve (nice huh?) and they found cancer on the other side!!!.. so he was back in the hospital day January 2..*sigh*...*nice way to start the new year*. THEN (yes, caps again..sorry), he spent 5 days in the hospital because his calcium level wouldn't stay up.

But (no caps), I am back, and catching up. Since one of the ADSR challenges, was posted on the 4th, I came home.. that day and quickly learned how to tear photos through Paint Shop Pro.. not so hard but when you're tired.. it wasn't fun. Challenge 2 was posted after he came home AND my partner, Kim, aka illinimom is a JOY to work with. We had to do a team layout.. so we used messenger and past our layouts back and forth. Someone in the challenge said they did it over the phone.. (hope they had free long distance..or they live near each other). Anyway, I'm adding my gallery to ADSR to the right..so please check me out :).

Ok.. well Noel isn't new but it is in April Staker's store for purchase. This is what I did with it. Most if not all of my pictures are coming from Longwood Gardens here in Pennsylvania.

DWTS new LO's and an Ad for a friend

Well, it looks like I completely missed saying anything about DWTS last week..so I'll give you a rundown. I thought it was either going to be Warren or Cody..and it did end up that way. Strange I think. There have been other football players with less charisma then Warren who've been raved about. I'd like to see him in the top 2..but we'll see. I didn't know there were that many Lance Bass fans and thank goodness he's gotten his feet together. Although Brooke was REALLY awkward in her first dance and I didn't really get her second one either, she'll probably make it. It was interesting to see Kristi Yamauguchi in the show, she demonstrates that if it were between Brooke and her, she would've mostly likely still win..but at least there would be a competition. I like to watch the shows where most of the contestants have a great chance of winning based on their DANCING skills and not their fan base. Guess though if they danced well..their fan base does grow. OH and BTW, I thought Cody has changed, has grown up AND I don't think that Paso was as bad as they said it was.

Changes non changes I'd like to see:

I'm starting to REALLY hate the group dance because they aren't doing dances I really want to see.

The competition group dance, should they choose to continue should be same dance..vs. same dance so we can compare side by side..but I don't think it was right for couples to be punished by low group scores because of something that was out of their control.

Young up and coming munchkin dancers-keep them..but make it quick..don't let it drag on and ONLY show the oldest age group. They are the ones I like to see.

PLEASE, please please shorten, cut out, remove the up close and personal behind the scenes reactions and rehearsals.. time killers and I don't like having to sit in front of the TV for an hour and a half anyway..so remove them so I can just sit for an hour. Oh..and if you are doing that, cute things like interviewing people on the street, the fake "I'm going to win the mirror trophy..so step aside" with EVERY dancer saying it.. well that can go too. The Kenny Mane, Jerry Rice segments were ok..but not at every show.. (just in case you thought I wanted you to do that instead of what I just told you to remove). I really liked (past tense) when they had dances where they would not only demonstrate but explain the dances (techniques, what makes for a true dance).. it's not so important for a dance I've seen yearly, but would've been useful when the show introduced 4 new dances.

POTENTIAL CONTESTANT DO'S AND DO NOT'S: At 50 years old and with a handicap, I want a show where I see perfect people (and we're not talking about Cheryl's 5 lbs and now she's a size 4 (geez give me a break.. I'd like to be that fat). But I want to see people who really look like they want to be there. Comedians, cooks, newscasters, handcapped (visually or physically impaired).. sorry if that sounds cruel, are not what I want to see. I want to see normal people who just have other occupations, TV hosts, actresses, ex sports people who truly WANT this..not as a tool to get another job. I know that's where it usually leads, but it's painful to watch good dancers get voted off when the "funny witty one" stays on. The judges have to stay on top of this too. Please no more, double standard on the lifts, or "wow, you were so fun to watch I forgot this was a dance competition".. UM.. it IS a dance competition :).

soooooooooooo onto next week.. let's see how the semi finals go.

David Cook update. Yes it is here and I think his single is weak, but if you get to preview the whole thing, I think you'll like most of the other songs.

Carla Ware, one of my favorite digital scrapbook designers left 3Scrapateers :(. She is selling her goodies at Scraphead.com so all is not lost. Kimberly Stewart is now at Scrapbook-Elements I'm not sure Scrapbook-Elements is as openminded about outside the site kits as 3Scrapateers was (don't know if anything has changed in that respect with the new owners)..so just stay tuned.

Catching up a little--hopefully the LOWEST this blog goes

Advice given to my YEARS ago is never blame your health issues on one particular thing.
Since April, I've had problems with dizziness, coordination, strength, concentration and balance. In April I fell for no reason (not pass out..just standing from a sitting position and the next thing I'm on the floor)... *lovely*.. sarcasm here. Because I have as one of my non neurological doctors said in a letter, "this patient has complex neurological disorder".. Understatement...but let's take this in stride.

Through my journey to just get back to enjoying life despite this complex history, I've tried to keep a positive attitude. I'm starting to get to the end of my rope..but I think it was my fault BECAUSE I fell into the trap of blaming it on neurology problems. I have Arnold Chiari Malformation (type 2), Hydrocephalus and Spina Bifida, myelomeningocele, Tethered Cord Syndrome (not operated on).. recently in the past 5 years, they added Lumbar Stenosis which can be connected with the SB. Being one to be on denial or let's ignore it and it will go away I don't think I did myself a favor. At the same time, recently, blaming everything on neurological problems was not a smart move. My family doctor sent me to a cardiologist and I have been diagnosed with Autonomic Dysfunction and now on beta blockers. Whether that tilt table test was worth it, well, the jury is still out on it but I haven't fallen recently..so it's good. Also I just started thyroid medication because my thyroid levels have been a little on the low side..and I've been tired...once again thinking my dizziness, etc has taken a toll and so it MUST BE neurological. Hopefully after the HUGE increase of meds I've started to take (along with eye drops to control my Glaucoma and Depakote for Seizure control)..things will look up.

SPEAKING OF LOOKING UP... hasn't the last two weeks been eventful!!

First it was the Philadelphia Phillies FINALLY (PHINALLY) winning the World Series again!! I made a quickie tag for my email signature.

AND we have a new president (no comment on the current one.. since he's leaving anyway :D). I thought John McCain's concession speech was very eloquent and gracious.

Anna came out with a group of new word art featuring these cute little beads for the alpha. Here is one of the elements (it says My Boy on it). She sells at both Stone Accents Studio and Divine Digital.

SAD NEWS in the Digital Scrapbook world!! I just learned that 3 Scrapateers is closing their doors at the end of this month. They were one of the first digital scrapbooking sites I visited and was always top as one of my favorites. I looked at my profile there this morning and I was there since almost the beginning. I'm really bummed!! Luckily, they sound like they might open another site, but I don't know if it will be another digital scrap site. I hope so and I hope my favorite designers will be there.

Oh..and I didn't do a recap of DWTS. Sounds everyone was on the same page as I was. Brooke and Derrick continue to lead the competition. Cody and Julieanne were also excellent, but I think that was more a case of the dance suited his personality. I thought Warren and Kym were excellent slightly and underscored for his performance. Cheryl and Maurice I thought was better this week but I wasn't as enthusiastic as the judges said.

BASEBALL

Ok.. I'm a rooting (routing?) for the Phillies..but I can't believe the resilience of the Boston Red Sox. If you're a baseball fan at all..you know what I am talking about (game 5..ALS)..who all went to sleep at the 5th inning? WOW!!. All I am thinking is I am hoping that the week between the NL championship and the World Series hasn't dampered their spirit and determination... I am dangerously predicting Phillies in 5 games (no sweep). I want them to win in Philadelphia.. that would be awesome! Seeing them win in LA was great..but it lacked something because they weren't in their own park.. *SIGH*.

This was one of the Scrap a Deal's at 3Scrapateers. I bought Carla Ware's kit, Fall Harvest, at half price and by posting a layout before the deadline and attending a fun chat I received another bonus, I received another half of the kit. This is my favorite scrap challenge :).

I'm not used to using the white space designing in layouts. I can't tell whether it looks too plain or just right. The idea is to embellish the picture enough to make the surrounding the picture but not to lose focus of the photo. By keeping the background simple, the eyes should also focus keep the focus. The has been discussion that Open Space Layouts look better when you have everything on the bottom and actually I think most of the ones I have seen have everything on the bottom (nature of gravity and how our minds work?). Happy news! I finally have a new computer a Dell Inspiron 530 (with XP). I am one of the *will not give up XP unless you pry it out of my cold DEAD hands types. Still mysterious things happen. My external drive is not talking to my computer where all of my fonts etc are... SOOOOOOOOOOO... no layouts today.

Here is my rundown for this weeks DWTS:

Maurice and Cheryl-I liked it. His outfit was throwing me off..lol.. guess the judges didn't like it.

Cody and Julianne-It was his best..but I didn't think it was real crisp. again the judges disagreed.

Toni and Alec-Thought it was good. I saw the mistakes too.

Cloris and Corky-surprisingly prettygood

Rocco and Karina-Still stiff..but better.

Susan and Tony-I'm glad Tony is bringing out some Erica.. some ATTITUDE. I thought she was still a little light..but the judges liked her.

Brooke and Derrick-FINALLY..great job.

Lance and Lacey-Thought this was the best they've done..didn't like it as much as the judges

Warren and Kym-I liked it..but there was too much reputation. But he's too much of a favorite to be voted off for this week.

**going home looks like Rocco..everyone else seemed even.

An online friend of mine, mentioned that she may have seen Lacey with a "wardrobe malfunction". Because I don't really like her, I don't put it past her, but did not see anything. To be fair, those costumes show EVERY THING without having to move..so I wouldn't be that surprised if she didn't intend for it to happen..just the costume had a mind of it's own.

Hopefully in the next day or two I will have more layouts to show you.. if I can get them out of my external..BTW...the old external was nearly full so the hubby bought me another one. I recently also bought a monitor........and my family (and I are quite impressed by it's resolution. I was watching last seasons's How I Met Your Mother. It's really a shame that it has the same spot as DWTS, but as long as I can catch up, I'm good :).

On and on the BASEBALL scene, the Phillies are ahead of the National series 3 games to 1....so I am ready to party. Ok.. maybe not party..since I've been feeling crummy..but you know :).

Dancing with the Stars.. Ok.. anyone who knows me, knows I'm bummed that Maks is out of the competition. Among the people I chat with, Misty didn't have a chance to go to the finals anyway, but I wish he were still there... AND I'm sorry that Misty got hurt... it looked REALLY painful...now onto other DWTS stuff.

I realize that Cloris Leachman is the oldest competitor, but I don't like the angle of having this older competitor on. She's funny (I don't really think so..although I enjoyed her on the Mary Tyler Moore show)..does anyone else remember that show?..and she's nice..BUT she's taking a spot away from someone who might actually be a good dancer and because of her entertainment and likeability, she keeps getting voted in. Guess (and I can't remember his name) wasn't that likeable because he was voted off the first week..but he was a comedian. If you can tell jokes, that's fine, that's your occupation..but find me some comedians who have some sort of rhythm. (musicality).

I lost my summary..so I'm just winging it :).

I wish Maurice and Cheryl would get it together, because she's my favorite dancer/choreographer, but I don't think it's going to happen. And going back to the age thing I was talking about... ummm Julianne seems like she has an hyperactive (although cute) kid who needs alot of calming down because he's not taking this seriously. He as well as Susan Lucci might stay on for a while because they are from ABC.. I would love to see the Erica Kane come out of Susan, but so far that's not happening.

Warren and Kym are fast becoming my faves, just because he's so bulky.. I can't believe he's actually moving that gracefully. Usually sports (and football players in particular) have fared pretty well..but in this case, I think it's well deserved.. and I am shocked.. I thought he'd be all clunky. And besides Joey Fatone, it's about time Kym got a decent partner.

I don't like the attitude of Lacey and Lance, they are not coming out as pleasers of the fans..they are coming across IMHO, as bratty little kids that don't care what the rules are. (I sound like Len..don't I?). Well, there have been previous pros that have been yelled at for going way beyond the lines and so I guess it's her turn, but I don't like her attitude and when he tried (was that the waltz?).. he was stiff and unappealing.

Anyway..that's my DWTS post for the week.

I joined in 3 Scrapateers' 1/2 and 1/2 challenges a few weeks ago (they have some
pretty good sales). By paying $2 for half of the kit, and went around and did the following things : went to Kimmi's blog for that week..she had one letter for the letter challenge, and a blog gift to match, posted my LO (DEADLINE: Friday) in the half and half gallery, go to the chat/crop and received 3 attendance gifts, I ended up with a huge CUTE kit. So by posting 3 different LO's, I also made layouts for the color and letter challenge (and the letter was already on her blog, remember?).. I ended up with not only the other half of the kit, but 4 freebies (or more that I wasn't expecting.

Now.. here is the original LO. I think it came out pretty good (and yes this was half the kit, before all the other gifts) The link will take you to the full kit now at FULL price. Complete alpha sold separately.

Here is my summary of the last performances of America's Got Talent:
Nuttin But Stringz-OMG!!!! LOVED THAT

Donald Braswell-He was good; at times he seemed like he was screaming. Still seems disconnected

Neil E. Boyd-Sang unbelievably but Vegas??.. no, but I can see him recording and doing concerts.

Eli Mattson-Still like his piano playing.. the way he was singing was very jerky

Queen Emily-it was nice.. I'm almost feeling like the show dragged after Nuttin but Stringz.

My vote for winner: Nuttin by Stringz!!

Dancing with the Stars:

1st night:

Cody and Julianne Really good for the first time.. they won't be going home

Rocco and Karina-his feet were all floppy.. and he wasn't looking up like she told him to.

Toni and Alec- she was dragging a little behind Alec.. guess the judges so more then I did. She had heart disease?

Maurice and Cheryl-The song was working against them. He wasn't so graceful.

Brooke and Derrick- Thought she was the best so far..and she just had a baby less then a year ago?

Ted and Inna-It flowed together well.. I thought the song worked together..the choreography didn't meet the competition..but she's new so
maybe she'll change as well.

Lance and Lacey-Thought it was hot, and a difficult routine.. didn't know if he carried it off..but those are minor points. (Len is going to be Len so I think Lacey is going to have to change)

Cloris and Corky-cute couple but not smooth.

Jeffrey and Edyta-not good.. won't be staying long

Kim and Mark-I love his choregraphy..and I think she pulled it off. The emotion seemed to be lacking.

Susan and Tony-Not good.. darn and that was the perfect song for her.. no hip action.. she very timid.

Misty and Maks-cute dance..I think she was losing her footwork. I agreed most with Bruno.

Warren and Kim- I was SHOCKED that he moved as easily as he did.. the song was great and Kim's choreography was great. I was afraid that since he was last it was going to have a negative effect.

ok..after a long show (although I enjoyed that we got to see dances between the results.. I think it overall is more nervewracking for the contestants and so ..not worth it. (I was right about Jeffrey).

Second night:

Lance and Lacey-thought it was nice and light. I liked them. In this way, I didn't see what Len was saying.

Misty and Maks- (ok she looked like a multi colored canary). She moved kind of stiffly..but her hips were moving. I liked the choreography.

Maurice and Cheryl-Lots of energy.. seemed more relaxed.. agreed with Len on the (free willy move) wasn't part of the dance and it looked out of place..so I am surprised Cheryl put it in..

Brooke and Derrick-I loved that!!!

Cloris and Corky -must be a fan thing (hope this doesn't work to be like Marie Osmond and her popularity)-Funny routine..but she didn't really impress.

Toni and Alec-I liked that too..full of energy..she didn't look tired at all.

Warren and Kym-He was a little awkward at the end..but I enjoyed it!

Ted and Inna-Lots of energy.. not sure about the performance.

Cody and Julianne-Another one I loved! I couldn't see the looseness that Carrie Ann and Len pointed out..but I just missed it. The choreography was the key I think.

Rocco and Karina-surprised he is also back..he was moving pretty well.

Susan and Tony (she needs to channel her inner Erica Kane)-Better job (no Erica needed)..she still steps carefully.

Mark and Kim-I saw Carrie Ann's point.. they had this song that was fast pace and she was flat..but it was probably lack of experience, nerves of waiting til the last (and if she's going to stay or get voted off).

Voted off tomorrow: Cloris or Susan... probably Cloris.
... ok..Ted McGinley?? He certainly wasn't the best..but both Susan or Cloris were worse. I sure hope this doesn't become a Marie Osmond popularity contest. (no offense Marie, but you weren't up to par to everyone else)

Been Another Long Absence

The last post was March??? oh dear..now that's embarrassing!! Well let's see if we can update you. After a while, I was ECSTATIC that it was David Cook who won AI. Right now my friends and I are watching America's Got Talent. My favorite are the street type looking singers and dancing (but they don't rap, they are doing some old Motown Favorites). I don't like the Dallas cheerleader types..but I admit, yes they are talented. Right now, everyone is jumbling all together so I'm waiting for Vegas (baby! .. you knew I had to say that) to let it settle in

On the Scrap scene with my girl, DC Designs, she didn't make it into Little Dreamer Designs, but on the brighter horizon, she is doing this "Teacher's Pet".. similar to the apprenticeship program at LDD. I am sure even if she doesn't get added to their team (but I am crossing my fingers she will), she gets to meet with other talented designers and that must be pretty cool. If you would like to get some really good freebies, go to Funky Playground Designs. Their freebies are in the gallery under Teacher's Pet. You will have to subscribe to their newsletter to get the freebies, but I've subscribed to other scrap newsletters and "most" are worthwhile. I think to get all these freebies alone, is a good reason..but that's just me.

More good news. I was accepted to be on Anna Wierzbicka (aka AneczkaW)creative team of Stone Accent Studios and Divine Digital. At first it was as a guest creator in July and she's asked the group she accepted to stay another month, she has a different style that I really like so I am enjoying my time there.

This is the first layout I did for her: The kit is called My Secret World and the window that the doggie, Missy is poking out of his from her kit, Ann's Window.

Last but not least: I've been at Gotta Pixel (no not working as a Creative Team member) but as what they call a Pixel Praiser. I just go around for a few minutes a day and pick out different layouts that I see in the gallery and make nice comments about them. I am going through this one section called scraplifts..which is really cool because it gives me ideas on how to make some elements and papers really look nice and I get to say nice things about the participants. I also find some favorites and comment, but also I try to comment on some that we just seem to miss. I think..it's nice to give a little to everyone so I try to find the ones that don't have anything.. and for this what's my reward? I get TONS of kits and other things free.. and a small discount..not bad for doing something a few minutes a day.

I have lots of other layouts that I'd like to share, but I do have to go. I will be back (that blog header has been up for a while..that's on my to do list)

New Layouts.. DC Designs onto another Round, DWTS and AI

Wow, I'm getting better at keeping this LO up to date then I thought.. still bad.. but better :).

First off here are a few layouts, from my gal, Dale Ann of DC Designs. The first one is from here kit, called Strong Shoes selling at Digital Freebies, click on the image to get to the elements. The papers are sold separtely, but you should be able to see them in her store right underneath

Note the theme of that one lol. And yes the circled ones are my faves. I love the folksy sound of Jason and Brooke, so they are my faves. More of my not so humble opinion in a bit hehehehe.

Next LO is one I did for a digifriend of mine with the kit, Antique Garden Collection, by Michelle Coleman and the FREEBIE submission by DC Design for her second round. Isn't she darling? A little thank you always makes them feel good and takes just a few seconds :).

I'm doing some challenges etc. Here is one from April Staker's Sweet Pea available at 3scrapateers. I bought it from their Scrap A Deal Challenge. Buy some for 2 bucks, go to a crop/chat,..get more of the kit.. then if you post a layout (usually 2 days after the chat, some more of the kit is sent to you. Not a bad deal,huh? The scenery is at an arboretum..hopefully by next month, the flowers will be out.

Here's the last layout from a site that I discovered last month, Divine Digital This is another place for deals. This kit is now up for sale for $13.00 but I bought it for $2.00, buying it though their Divine Diva Deal. I am not sure if how the deal works varies but this is how I it worked for this kit. I bought the kit for the $2..the alpha was there but the file password protected. When I went to the chat/crop, they gave me the password. If I completed a LO, by the due date, I was sent the add-on (Please note,.. the alpha doesn't look like it is available in the kit anymore.. it is sold separately.) The kit, Hope Springs Eternal, is by Colleen Lynch. Alpha and add-kit is available.

This layout had an additional theme that we had to use someone or something that gives us inspiration.. that's my Digidaughter and me in the pic :).

My online group, Our Hen House, is doing trivia games mostly based on Dancing with the Stars. We're having a good time with that :). Speaking of Dancing with the Stars.. here are my thoughts...

The ones that I see at the end are: Cheryl and Christian, Mark and Kristi and Karina and Mario. The early exits should be: Kym and Penn and Monica and Jonathan. With the favorites; I don't have a feel for who's going to take it. Last season, with Sabrina leaving way too soon, it's hard to say how much is fan base, lack of voting power etc plays a part who ends up staying. Same with American Idol... and speaking of...lol...

American Idol.

When I did the Layout above, I had my clear favorites. Michael Johns as gorgeous as he is, is not meeting with my expectations. His version of Bohemian Rhapsody was great.. but as he said in a recent question.. he might've *peaked* in Hollywood. I like folk music and so I am a big fan of Brooke and Jason. You notice I have Ramiele circled and she's my biggest disappointment. She's not listening to the judges or not trusting her judgement, but her performances have not been very good (not saying I can do any better :)). I don't think she understands that when they say do a ballad or show off her voice.. or her young fun side.. she gets it..she's lost. She's a lost little girl who pouts when the elimination night is on. She bawls like a baby when her friends are voted off..she's lost it. grrrrrr. Contrary to his popularity, David A, as cute and TALENTED, as he is might be the next Melinda Dolittle of next year. He's a little um.. boring to watch.. he just stands there .. smiling. um.. I hate to say personality counts.. but I think it does here and just smiling is going to get you the fans tired. I'm not a rock person so I have no idea why I am really liking David C., but I am. Every week, he looks really excited to be on stage. He SUCCESSFULLY changes music like his version of "Hello", he rocks it out.. he looks like he's relaxed and having a great time. On that note, I did like Amanda and was surprised that she left. It could've been her quietness and her last words that "ballads are boring" that did her in. She had a wonderful voice and she loved Janis Joplin. Maybe Amanda didn't know that Janis J, didn't always rock out. I was upset that Christy stayed as she is boring to listen to and her personality is blah..then I found this on her online yahoogroup, seems that she's not the amateur small town Wyoming girl that she is supposed to be.. but if she can do THAT, why can't she perform on American Idol. If she sang like that, I would most likely be her biggest fan. Listen to Kristy Lee singing Devoted (you notice this litle small town Wyoming girl has managed to have this song as a video.. hmm. Not saying that American Idol might not be fixed.. as it might be (David A, Syesia, Carly and Michael I have read all have prior music experience)

I am so proud of my designer, Dale Ann. She is probably the most gifted *secret* in the world of digital scrapbooking. She's not well known, but her kits are so much fun! Internet Radio and Music Reality Shows

For those who are into music type reality shows, Bruno won the Dance Wars. I thought it was just ok, but maybe I was just not on the same page. I didn't even like the High School Performance I believe they were professionals.

Now, I'm waiting for Dancing with the Stars.. *MINUS* Maks *CRYING*..but he said he will be back. Christian De La Fuente will be dancing with Cheryl Burke. She's one of my favorite professionals, so unless he's just a klutz, I'll be able to watch him.. good enough. I'm not going to watch the Oscars, but I am hoping that George Clooney wins (swooning here). Kym Johnson has the worst luck when it comes to partners *sigh*..she's fun to watch but she hasn't had much luck when it comes to partners overall. She will be dancing with Penn Jillette (yes the goofy magician). Maybe she likes challenges.. after all, her partnership with Jerry Springer was cute, but you can tell she is a great dancer/choreograher and I would just like to see what she can truly do.

While I wait for Dancing with the Stars to come back *minus Maks*, I am watching American Idol. They just started the top 24, so there's just no predicting really how they will all do in front of a live audience, but my favorites are: Asia'H Epperson, Michael Johns, Brooke White, David Cook, David Archuleta **I just love this one.. great voice, great personality**, fun to watch when he's singing or just talking while being interviewed, Syesha Mercado, Carly Smithson, Amanda Overmyer (she doesn't sing my type of songs..but has a GREAT VOICE and is also fun to listen to when she talks :), and Ramiele Malubay (too cute to vote off.. lol.. and she really does have a great voice and poise when she sings). I also like Jason Castro and Alexandrea Lushington.. not sure how well they're going to do overall. You can see pictures of the top 24 by clicking here

I took a vacation from watching tv..but my Yahoo groups have me interested in all these music shows.. *smile*. I am going to try "Mama Don't Dance" which starts next week.

Going on another subject.. I am starting to get hooked on internet radio. I started listening at Christmas time now I am listening to WOGL (it's a 60/70's oldies station) online. I think it's kind of neat that I can have online friends and we can listen to the same music even if they are on the other side of the country.. and the world too.

I have another layout that I will post on March 4 as that is when DC Designs have a new kit out in her store in Digital Freebies. Be sure to stay tuned, it's a great kit.

Dance Wars, American Idol and Crazy Little Thing

I watched Dance Wars last night. I've been seeing it off and on... and it's not going too well. I'm in this group.. LOL.. I'm actually the head of this yahoo group.. and just a few of us are watching. Last night, when I heard the two bottom singers.. it was like.. ick.. and to make it worse, Bruno.. (one of the two team captains) had to choose between the two. It was between someone who couldn't carry a tune and someone who couldn't carry a tune. That being said, I don't claim to have a great voice.. actually it kind of stinks.. but I'm not on the show..these people were already supposed to have been chosen and are finalists.. so I don't hold much hope for this show.

American Idol was on again. They were in Nebraska. Not as many super weirdos as there are. They grabbed a few people for Hollywood. I already thought they picked the "Ace Young" type..but there was a guy today.. who messed up the lyrics to the song (as in couldn't get past the first line) about five times.. if not more. But he was good looking and he had a pleasant voice so after struggling (and I believe they were feeding him the lyrics)... they put him through. I don't think that's going to do him any favors..because if he was nervous at this point, I can't see him singing well at the next round..but we'll see. They can't keep pushing him up if he can't remember the lyrics..that's for sure.

I think I'll put my hopes on Don't Forget the Lyrics (hey I have a theme going on lol).. with host, Wayne Brady. I've always liked him.. he's funny, sings well (and it's good for a show like this) and he seems to know when to adlib during the fill in times and just let the show go on it's own when it should.

It hasn't been a good start to the new year. One of the groups that I was requesting sigtags from died along with her husband on New Years Eve. Her name was Hazy and although I didn't know much about her, I could tell she was a really nice person. She was a victim of a drunk driver and that really hurts.. infuriates me.. leaves me feeling helpless. My family do not go out on New Years because of the crazies, but I am not blaming Hazy at all..she has the right to go out and have a good time.. not to feel like a captive in her own home.. to be with friends or however she decides to celebrate. Maybe her life would've been spared if she stayed longer..but who knows who will be out and when is a safe time to go back home?.. No..the fault lies solely on the person who had too much to drink and was too stupid to stay where he was. If as at a party as he most likely was, the fault lies with the people who let him get behind the wheel. I hope he at least learned his lesson and doesn't have a drop of alcohol unless he has someone to drive him home. The saying "Friends Don't let Friends Drive Drunk" has been in place for about 20 years now.. the term designated driver is an everyday term.. I wish these morons.. would grow up..

I'm going to stop now before I say something more forceful.. because all I am doing is venting and I don't think my venting will help anyone except get things off my chest... all I want to say is I am going to miss my net friend Hazy.. I didn't know you well.. I wish the children you left behind all good things and all the best for you parents who are now taking care of them.

You may have noticed that I am currently a Creative Team Member only for DC Designs. My other ladies for one reason or another (mine or theirs *smile*) have parted ways. I've had the good fortune to gather some really nice kits and learned somethings along the way so it's not too sad for me. Dale Ann is a joy to be around so I am happy the way things are. I might try out for other teams..but I am happy with her as long as she is with me.

Well, being on other teams would be a little stressful right now as my computer isn't working as I would like it to. It just reboots at the strangest times. The newest theory is it might be something as simple as I have the computer in the wrong place and making my fan work too hard. We moved around October/November and that was about when my computer started to act up. At first I was convinced it was this game, Chuzzle, because I was playing it on a "try before you buy.. before I bought it..then when we moved I took the plunge. The techs did help me .. but I think the constant.. *try this* .. oops didn't work.. uninstall .. reinstall and try this.. another bluescreen of death.. now try this.. 20 or so times.. well let's just say, it wasn't good for my computer. So the husband, the resident expert reformatted it... stupid me..thinking that MAYBE it wasn't Chuzzle.. loaded it again.. *screen freeze*.. now I'm mad.. I complain again.. they shut me out from loading it again from their site (kept my $20).. but it was working with just a few problems...but still rebooting on it's own.. not a good thing...

Latest thing is rebooting when I put a CD in. Simple enough.. it's the CD player right? Then why was I able to merrily sing to Josh Groban's Christmas CD, Noel only a month ago?

So the next step is to put in a new CD and look at the fan. I have my computer on my desk now.. in a little cubby space and it might be possible that not enough air is circulating and it's heating the computer up too much. I had it down by my feet but thought it would be nice to move it.. since we were relocating anyway.. so I didn't have to bend over to get to the USB port. *sigh*.. drama continues...

It's been a while since I posted. My plan is to make a new design for my blog and of course show you a few of my designs. I like to show picture of my LO's but I've done quite a few and posted them in galleries so, if you're curious about what I've been up to (..lol.. You'll see that I am posting some LO's from Faer Oak Designs. I'm on temporarily with her til the end of this month. She is also very talented and I enjoy working with her kits too. I was given the CT on July 6 (day before my daughter's birthday). So now I have 3 teams that I am and each are unique so I am never bored. I'm still making tags at Signatures with Style as well.

If I keep my blog up as I wanted to originally, the new blog look will be in the next week or two and I should have new LO's to post.

ok.. I'm one of these people who watch AI but don't vote, but I was even surprised to see Melinda leave. I'm sure and BLAKE looked sure that he had hit the end of the line. But she has talent and connections so I am sure she will do just fine.

I do have a few layouts I'd like to share with you but I will post them later...
since I don't do much but share my LO's, I thought talking about AI would be a different kind of change. In a few weeks, I'll go back to watching, "How I Met Your Mother".

Oh and I'm happy to see how Dancing with the Stars is shaping up. I don't know who is going to be the winner, everyone has their strengths.

What else.. but New Layouts?

I have to admit, when I get compliments on layouts that I do and they ask, if I used a template/quick clip/sketch and I can say NO (because that would take the fun out of making a layout).. I get a little ego booster. True, what I am doing, I probably saw somewhere, but I take a little of this and that and put them together. I think most of us scrap/graphics fanatics do that to some extent.. but we all learn from each other..
Where am I going with all this.. umm well I am thinking of making some of my own templates for people to download here...but I am just thinking out loud.

Anyway, here are the LO's I've been busy with. First off from Retro Designs (my newest
scrap designer that I have joined. Helen (aka retro) is so warm and wonderful and she is producing kits at a comfortable level so I can balance it quite easily. Her style is very classic. This kit is a fun kit, but if you used different elements, you could still use some of the papers for something else besides a dog kit.. I did have friends send me dog pictures, so here we go:

Here is my weekly ETC from Scrapbook Elements. I'm the one on the bottom sitting on the left. The pictures were of course, scanned and they were very blurry. The left as I said were me on the bottom (top: my sister, Shirley, cousin Patti and cousin Ed) (bottom me and cousin Chris). Other picture was me and my sister.. in kimonos.. ONCE and only once I ever wore a kimono (very very uncomfortable).

My First Layout for DC Designs, new from Pyralis Designs and tags to offer

Everything is going pretty smoothly doing these LO's .. actually I am pretty happy.. doing what I love to do and learning from others.

Here is my first LO done for DC Designs. Her kit, Paris in April, is available at
HODS and One Kind of Scrap The kit was so big, it was divided into too many parts, so it's not a direct link. Just look for Dale (Dale Ann Cubbage) under designers in the store.

Our assignment for Pyralis Designs was to use a Clip Quick or templates that she made and one of the kits that we already had. Was pretty easy and so I am done posting around to the different sites etc. It's great living in this area especially during spring and fall. I keep my camera busy.

I am so happy to announce that I will be on Dale Ann Cubbage's Creative Team for the months of May and June. Her designs are kind of organic, natural, grungy like and I just love them. So in addition to the other layouts that you see, I will be posting hers too.

Last night, I finished this LO for the Element Template Challenge in Scrapbook-Elements, hosted by Jan Hosford. The little squiggly heart was the template to work with.

I attended a crop hosted by Miss Tiina and as a prize I received this WONDERFUL spring kit. I think it was a welcome kit, so it may not be available in her store. Miss Tiina also has a site here(also bent photo cluster by Traci Sims I guess using the same pictures twice is supposed to be bad, but it is the only recent picture I had of my daughter, since we were both sick at the time.

Another Challenge that I did was from Designer Digitals As part of the challenge, I went to this website and looked up my birthday. According to the chart, it gave me a personality analysis (similar to astrology) according to the color. The challenge was to make a layout explaining why you agree or disagree with their findings. Designer Digitals is a nice place because they give you the elements for free and is super nice :o).

I was reading Kim Higueria's blog and she had a post which started, "Guinea Pigs?" Now having been a guinea pig foster parent for years now, that word just drew me right in.. lol.

It was a game where you look in google .. type in your first name and then "needs" (no quotes). (Janice needs-is my example).

Here is what I came up with. I'd be interested to see what everyone else did too.

Poems at the Poetry Free-for-all - janice needs help (some of my friends can tell you this.. you don't need to google it).. hey but at least there is a poem about me?

Janice needs your help getting her modeling agency up. Yes I work part time at Pottery Barn Kids, do graphics work, take care of my guinea pigs and spend time with my family.. BUT what you didn't know is I have an undercover modeling agency.

Whoever plays Janice needs to look at least a little odd, like Fiona Apple. (no comment.. hehehhee)

Janice needs a reality check!!! (oooh.. well someone must feel very passionate about this or he/she wouldn't use three !!!..)

While Christopher may keep pushing her away, Janice needs to let him know she cares about him. (I have a cousin, Chris.. maybe I'll check to see if he thinks I am pushing him away).

New from Pyralis Designs

For a low level group as "Our Hen House", I have to admit, I am getting really into little things to make it fun.. some corny and probably expected (like regular posting of chicken jokes) to little reminders with chickens on it.. and maybe a little tag that says, "I'm a cute chick of Our Hen House".. well I warned you that they were little things, didn't I?

I had major problems with trying to get the files to do my layouts, things finally came together.

Amber was 10 years old when we went to Disneyworld. That was exhausting but very very VERY fun.

Taking TV Too Seriously

If anyone is keeping track, I took down my reference to American Idol Friends. I had a little mishap with the moderator there and left. It's not that I am taking AI seriously, but when someone attacks me for something.. especially for my views on a TV show, it's time to move on. We were a small group and one if not all left and I made up a group.. a new experience for me... It's called "Our Hen House". It's also a private group, but I thought I'd let you know.

I'm doing the RubyQ's monthly challenge. I submitted one of the LO's and now I have more of the scrapkit and so I made another one. So I will be getting another freebie (I LOVE FREEBIES). And I had a theme this time.. which is always nice. I made this for Sharee, who recently became a grandma.

American Idol, Dancing with the Stars and a new LO

I caught it late, due to a guinea pig adoption that I was doing.. but it was all my fault since I was the late one...

Blake, was awesome on AI. I don't see the reason why Phil and Haley have the fan base that they do. I think Kiki (aka Lakisha) is getting a bad rap.. just because she can't sing all the styles.. but as in buying a CD.. we all know what it's like to have a few songs on it that we don't like right?.. that's why she should stay in.

DWTS-.. MAKS is the man IMHO, oh.. yes and he does dance well and choreograph ;o).. so I am glad Leila and he stayed on. It was great to see Drew from Season 2 again. I don't think it was Leeza's time to go..but there is a double standard for men and women there. I think it's a shame and puzzle about the reason why Clyde is still there. At first you can say..oh it's because he's so tall.. and he's getting the "older man" vote.. although I think he's not that old. The bigger puzzle is.. "if Clyde is getting the votes from the sports fans (predominantly male).. why don't most men like to dance?" :D. As Len said last night, he doesn't seem like he really is trying and there were other sports guys that tried a lot harder and did a lot better. Maybe next season, they should try for a baseball player.. they seem like they would be more natural at this.. maybe I am wrong.

oh... and to bring a little graphic/color into my blog.. here is the new LO. I made it for my hubby; Casablanca is one of his favorite movies.

Another challenge that I did. I also wanted to make a LO to support adopting pets rather then buying them from pet stores.. some that can be unsanitary. The guinea pig rescue that I work with is a no killed shelter. It's call Have a Heart and it is in Florence NJ.

It wasn't going to take this Paint Shop Pro addicted person long to get tired of those green dots on my blog. I've been surfing and really think it's cool when I see these blog banners etc so I thought it just a matter of me adding in my page elements.

NOT SO!! I'll have to look into a little more when I come home from work today. I also have a few more LO's to show you as a result of some challenges I've done. MAYBE I DO need to find a Bloggers for Dummies book. I want to add a nice banner and some dividers on the side. I think that would look nice and make it more personalized. Have a great day everyone!

American Idol and Dancing with the Stars (little rant)

I think I solved my problem with the headings on the left. I'll just make some tags and add them as a image.. not too hard. This blogging thing still is a bit of a struggle. It's playing with my mind. I thought I found the place where you can delete the borders around images and yesterday they mysteriously came back and for the life of me I could not figure out.. where it was that I fiddled with it in the first place. I gotta pick up a book called Bloggers for Dummies I think.. but to my credit.. I did finally find it.. after I think an hour of searching for it...

As for American Idol, I am a second year watcher and I am not that crazy about it this year. I think Sabrina (?) should've been there instead of Haley.. for the top spots and I think I would've enjoyed it alot more. I would be perfectly happy if they just cut out Phil, Haley Chris Richardson and Sanjaya (he may not be able to get a job singing .. but I think he's enjoying himself). I don't like Rock music so I wasn't crazy about Gina, funny thing is... I LIKED HER when she wasn't singing rock. The last song she sung before being voted off .. I thought was great... but I guess I am missing something and really she should pursue the genre of her choosing... just voicing my opinion.

This is my third year watching Dancing with the Stars, in both shows, BTW I don't vote because of the crazed way some people vote.. the multiple votes 200 from one person for a particular singer/dancer (you can do that with AI.. I think there is a blocker on DWTS) and it's really not fair.. everyone should be able to get one vote each.. ok I am ranting. sorry.. just the facts.. I think all of the dancers are great and I just love to watch them. I worry about the youngness of Apollo's coach and how she might not be able to keep up with the pace and teach him the way she should... but I like the way they dance and think they are going to be in the top 3 or 4.... then there's Maks.. who I just love.. and once again he has a pretty strong partner.. I think he's going to be in the finals too. Kym and her partner and I just love Cheryl.. and am in the back of my mind rooting for her since she's a two time champion. In contrast to AI, even though some of the dancers seem awkward (for example Clyde.. but he can't help it that he's tall) I enjoy all of them in one way or another and I marvel at the way that these professional dancers can take people out of their element and put on a pretty good performance.

What I Want to Learn to Do

I want to learn how to do this new technique (or new to me anyway). It looks like a photo curl. There are few programs that do it and the graphics program that I use, Paint Shop Pro 11, does have the page curl.. but I don't like the way it looks.. so if anyone knows how it's done, please drop me a line.

Second thing I want to learn. I see I am doing a little more talking on this blog then I expected.. I don't know if this is a good thing or not.. lol.. BUT since I am updating a little bit, I think I would like to add my own banner or buttons on the sidebar.. (ie where it says Favorite movies... I'd like a graphic there). I haven't really figured out the ins and outs of the blog.. templates can be wonderful because it takes the guesswork out of what you want..but it's also restricting..

Well I will look around and see if I can figure those two things out.. hope everyone has a fabulous day. I should have another tag for request by tomorrow if not sooner. You can go to Delphi.. if you're interested. I'll be sure to post the tag here.. and at my fotki site.. which I will also post later.. I'm have some interesting goals for someone who didn't want to start a blog..lol.

I'm going to break my rule. I wanted this to be place to share my Layouts for Memorable Concepts, but they are taking a break so I think it would be ok for me to share some of the challenges that I've been doing.

It occurred to me that since I leave comments in other scrapsite blogs, people might be reading this blog and thinking.. WHY IS SHE HERE?.. and IS SHE STILL OUT THERE? (sorry for screaming).

I just love this kit. I thought of it for valentine's day, but it's a very nice kit for all year use. I especially love the little sequined heart and the rose. It's beautiful. Just click on the image to take you to the kit, "My Valentine" by Enixer:

Since this was a tag kit, I made this with a look more of a tag with a background etc rather then a traditional layout that you can see in a gallery. It's just another way to show the possibilities. The kit is called,"Soft Damask" By Bru

In our Memorable Concepts Google group, I usually give you an idea of what can be done with the kits that Enixer and Bru have available in their shop. Since many of the people use them for tags, I send tags too.. I probably won't be putting the tags in this blog since that will be a little repetitious I might put a link on the left for the tags (might hold alot of the tags, since I do other thing besides scrapping). I'm rambling again .. sorry.

Back to the point, I love this kit, it's called ndapinks by Bru, (click the image to get to her kit to order). The patterns on the papers in addition to the elements really make this kit a nice one for taggers.

This is my little space on the web where I share the things I create. It flatters me more then you can imagine when people call me a creator or artist. I'm just here to have a good time and to talk, compare notes with others that I have been lucky enough to call my online friends.

I do have a real life, which I will talk about from time to time, and who are just as unique and special.. but I don't think they understand my graphics obsession. And I am going to use this blog to display what I like to do online.. and probably the friends I've met through my graphic groups etc will be visiting most often. One thing I am not going to do is post for the sake of posting.

So why a blog now? Memorable Concepts. I am proud to say that I am a CTM for MC and I am going to use this blog to show you layouts that I have done from the scrapkits that Enixer and Bru have created. So this is my little advertisement for them. They have a googlegroup where they post some freebies for the members.
